It’s almost here! Round 6 of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship, the Townsville 500 (formerly known as the NTI Townsville 500) is a short weekend away from pushing us into another round of exhilarating entertainment. From the 7th to the 9th of July, watch as your favourite drivers take the track yet another time to get one step closer to winning the coveted Championship title.

With Brodie Kostecki of Erebus Motorsport currently in the lead with 1164 total points, and Will Brown, also of Erebus Motorsport. and Broc Feeney of Triple Eight Race Engineering close behind with 1105 and 1073 points respectively, the Townsville 500 could be the race track where things take a swift turn and see someone else emerging victor. 

But, in addition to the on-track entertainment, there’s several off-track entertainment planned for the weekend! So, if you’re heading down to Reid Park Street Circuit with friends who may not be so enthusiastic about what’s going on on the field, the off-track entertainment is sure to convince them to join you! The Townsville 500 Headlined by Ministry of Sound

The Townsville 500 is one of the biggest motorsport events in Australia, and its also a great opportunity to enjoy some top-notch off-track entertainment. Fans of classical music rejoice, for Ministry of Sound’s Classical Show is making its maiden journey to Townsville. with award-winning conductor Vanessa Perica at the helm of an orchestra accompanied by live vocals.

Ministry of Sound is a British dance music brand that has been around for over 25 years. They’ve released some of the biggest dance hits of all time, and their Classical show is a unique blend of electronic music and classical orchestration.

The Townsville concert will be held on Saturday and Sunday, the 8th and 9th of July at the Townsville Entertainment Centre. The show will feature a full orchesta and will include a mix of Ministry of Sound’s classic hits, as well as some newer tracks.
